Judging Time 3ZDIz4n
This thread explains everything related to the judging process.
We recommend members to read the thread before asking questions.

Note: Auditions that have been set into private/deleted will be ignored.

Q: How long do judges take to announce the results?
A:
Judges generally take around one or two weeks to judge all the auditions. However, if judges have a tight schedule, it can take up to 3-5 weeks to announce the results.

These are some useful information auditioners should consider while recording.
These tips will help auditions to improve and meet the requirements that each judge is asking for.

These are the common troubles judges have encountered while listening to auditions:
Problem 1: A lot of auditions have good starting points, but when it comes to the chorus, multiple people tend to go off pitch.
Solution: Please practice the complete song well. Try learning the right pitch and notes. If you are not sure of which is the corresponding notes, sing along with the original song and then mix the original song in a different pan compared to your vocals. You will hear a good difference. Take into account that the chorus of songs is one of the most elemental parts of the song, so if it sounds bad, judges will have a bad impression of the entire audition.

Problem 2: The quality of your recording is probably one of the most important factors when it comes to judging, since it is the first thing judges can listen to. Bad quality microphones usually made your voice sound worse than it actually need, so a good microphone is essential.
Solution: If you have got the budget, get a good quality microphone. Otherwise, a bit of editing and equalizing your tracks will boost your microphone’s quality.

Problem 3: Quite a number of auditions have really good singing, but vocals were eventually off-timing!
Solution: Please mix well with the instrumental when you audition. If you have problems with the timing while recording, sing along with the original song. If you have problems with mixing the right timing, compare your mixing with the original song.

Problem 4: A big number of singers have good voices and hit the right notes, but they mispronounce the lyrics. Mispronunciation of lyrics can make the chorus messy, and thus, auditions who have missed words noticeably are ignored.
Solutions: Learn the lyrics very well while singing. If you want to improve your pronunciation of japanese words, there are threads within this forum that helps you improve. Such topics are:

Q: How does the judging process work?
A:
There are several judges working under YTChorus in order to choose a good selection of singers. This is how the judging process works. If you have questions about further points, please feel free to PM the mods/admins:
Step 1: The slots get divided into even parts depending on the amount of judges and the amount of auditions.
Step 2: After listening to the auditions, judges will make a list with the “Definitely accepted” people and “Maybe” people. Those people who have a slight chance of getting in will also be considered in the “Maybe” list. However, these people’s auditions will be further discussed with the other judges (according to the “criteria” given in the “Common problems” section). By this time, people with bad auditions will be out.
Step 3: After the Definite and Maybe list are discussed among judges, the Final list will be sent to Rin, who will check the list again and post it on YouTube.
