HOW DO YOU MIX VOICOEVERS
I have a group that's having a crack parody voiceover of a few animes for someone's birthday.
And I'm just baffled, we don't have any idea on how to time those voicovers.
//desperate
If any of you have ideas on how to mix/time/edit voiceovers please reply. ;o;

Heeellloooooo!!!
Timing voice-overs are similar to mixing songs! It's a matter of moving vocals, really www Except, if it's to a video, it'll be a bit harder.
The easiest way I've found to voice-over to an anime is to watch the actual scene and record my own voice as accurate as I can get it. Then, using a video-editing software (I use camtasia), you can manually split the voices and move them around accordingly.
I don't know how to explain better ////shot

Re: HOW DO YOU MIX VOICOEVERS
I think that in the VA industry, the have a person who went through all the lines and time each line accordingly, recording approximate how long does it take to speak the lines and to match the video perfectly.
Personally I haven't recorded anime VA before, but I think you could try recording each line separately, and know the duration of each line so that you could look at a watch/timer while you're recording. It might also be helpful if you can have the anime opened on another screen too~
Sorry I'm not too good at explaining things too XD And I haven't tried it myself so not sure if this actually helps 8"D

@chiisarin, *o* Thank you for that advice, I'll try that then. Hopefully it works. ;v;
@Catalyst, Ooooh, that sounds really nice. I'll ask my other group members to get a timer then when they record. Thank you for the help. ;v;
