[DISCUSSION] Favorite piece you've done so far
Hi everyone!
This is part of a series of discussion threads that we will be hosting here on YTC. If you have any suggestions for topics, please PM sonic-nancy-fan or myself, and we'll add it to our list.
The thread will not be closed, but new topics will be added regularly!

What's a favorite piece of yours that you have worked on? It can be artwork, translyrics, a cover, something you have mixed, a literary work! What was your thought process as you were working through the piece and why is it your favorite?

Re: [DISCUSSION] Favorite piece you've done so far
wow, this is a hard one (for me). i guess it would have to be a few pieces of fanart that i drew several years ago, around 2009. i used to draw a lot before i got into the youtaite community. i wasn't very good, but it was a fun hobby xD my favourites are actually fanarts that i drew for other people and that were out of my comfort zone. they were challenging but really fun to draw!
first one is someone's character from the game Aion, an mmorpg. even though it was so long ago, i remember that he was very specific. he wanted his character's head on a pose from a specific Aion poster and he also included 2 specific dagger designs from the game. sounds simple, but i generally find females easier to draw and i certainly wasn't used to such a dynamic pose xD it took me a long time to get it and although there are some proportions i'm not too happy with and the shading is TERRIBLE, i'm still fairly proud and he was really happy with it.
this second one was for a friend who did an artswap with me. again, this was out of my comfort zone and not something i was used to drawing, but still fun! obviously, since this was just a pencil sketch, it didn't take too long, but i liked how it came out :D
i do apologise for the bad quality of the images! i didn't have a scanner back then, and so had to use my digital camera to capture the images before uploading to my deviantart.
i know that neither of these are youtaite-related, but i don't think i have any solo youtaite work that i'm particularly proud of >__> i guess if i had to pick a cover, it would be Killer Lady, mostly cos my friend mixed it for me and actually made me sound half decent for a change, but i still hear parts where i'm off-key OTL the ones that i actually like are collabs or choruses that i did with my friends OwO i like them cos i enjoy singing with my friends, who are all amazing and so good!

OOOOH~ This is hard XD.
I guess for covers, I'd have to say my Operation X cover since a friend of mine mixed it and fixed some of my pitch problems lol.
As for lyrics, I don't usually compare them to one another. Usually, I'll have one or two lines per song I think I wrote really well, but I can't think of any lyrics that really stand out above the rest. I guess a lot of my French song trans-lyrics sound better due to how similar French and English are; it's easier to make things sound right when a lot of French words sound like the English words. My newer lyrics are better than the older due to my improving over time.
