Chatbox and other updates

Hey everybody! Kran (krannda) here!

If you haven't noticed yet, I've enabled the chatbox on the front page. Yaaaaaay~ /o/

At the moment, I am the only active forum moderator/admin on these forums.
I actually left around a year ago or so because life but I'm back to help make these forums become active again! Mostly because I realized that people are still here using these forums to make new friends and continue collaborating~

Making these forums active again is going to be a difficult task to do alone though, especially considering the fact that I'm running two YouTube channels AND dealing with college stuff at the moment. Soooo what I'm trying to say is...

I NEED YOUR HELP
I'm looking for some active, reliable and experienced forumers willing to become Forum Helpers to help put topics in the right place and to close/delete unnecessary topics.

You can leave a reply below if you think you'd like to help out or if you want to suggest someone. You can also discuss amongst yourselves to come up with someone you'd like to nominate. If said person agrees with it, then I'll rank them up. Basically, I'm giving you complete freedom to choose for yourselves!

So anyway, I'll be going around these forums a couple times a week from now on! I hope together we can make this place more active again. :D

It might be a good idea to make sticky FAQ threads in both help sections, since many beginners most likely have similar problems. That would make everything nice and organized and lower the amount of threads

Hi everyone, Aerlith here. Kran appointed me a forum helper. I'm going to work on cleaning up the Group Dubs/Organization threads. Anything that is older than April 2012 will be automatically moved to the Archive thread, with the exception of Finished/Closed choruses. If you have a thread that was moved to Archive and wanted it moved back, please PM me so I can move it back.

We are going to post a list of rules for the C-box, too, by the end of this week.

I've been on this site for so long, the revamp threw me off a little. But it's really cool the chatbox is enabled now~! |'DD
But is there a sound effect for when somebody replies? I've tested the chat with someone else, but I couldn't tell when they replied when I was scrolling down and checking out the new forum. If it gets annoying there can be a mute button too.

It's nice to see you're back, Kran I think that with you back and kind of updating things a little, even if you can't be around as much as you used to, it'll liven up the community a lot :D

Hey Kraaaan~ We're so happy that you're back! I haven't really been active before, but now I am. So feel free to let me know if you need help. I have some experience in handling forums ^^

PS: I love the new placement of threads.. It'll be easier to navigate for new members~ "Your Covers" section is what was lacking before.. So *yay*

I could help if you think I am good enough :3 and I think I agree with the shoutbox having sound effect when someones replyyyy and a mute button as well because I really don't know if people posted something . And maybe clean up all the older threads and we should encourage people to post stuff .When come here ..its always the same people heree >W< and will probably helping Aerlith since Aerlith really thinks too much xD

The chatbox currently used is the one integrated in forumotion and it doesn't have any options on enabling anything. I can try putting an HTML/Javascript chatbox thing from an external website if anyone can suggest one that is easily managable.

As for the chatbox.. glad it's activated, it's just the matter of people Logging in into the chatbox xD Yeah, you can't really add sounds but it's simple and works on smartphones and tables as well which is nice (by logging in into the forum and then heading to the chatbox. An admin can also assign members to be a "chat mod" and stuff. It has some commands that mods/admins can use as well.
As for suggesting someone to be a helper.. I really don't know that many people around here so I can't really suggest anyone, yet.

I have to say, I was really surprised when I saw the chatbox because I feel like it was once suggested and denied because it took away from the actual forum supposedly.... or maybe that was another forum. I can't remember.
I think it's perfect as long as it can be moderated. I'm glad YTC is back.

Having a ton of experience with forum moderation, I would love to help out and help clean the forum a bit. I hope this forum explodes with life! ^^
