Oh my.
According the video my range is:

Low: E2 (mostly in the morning though)
High: B6

Tested...and tested...and tested... ._.
VALSHE RANGE FTW |D -shot-

But my comfort zone is:

Low: A2
High: A6

E3 (But I have to hit it very softly)- E6 (But it's a bit strained)

My comfort low note...I'm not entirely sure, but the highest I can go without straining is a C6, maybe a D6.

okay you guys =u="
For those of you girls claiming to hit/sing those notes in the A1 through C3 range, those are the Bass-Tenor range and only MALES can hit those notes unless you are a Contralto.

I know you girls are not contraltos because I've listen to the songs you sing on your YT page. /speak. =u=)b
The lowest you can hit is only a good A3-B3

Though some of you( I can hear like only 2 members) in this thread that are actually hitting/ sustaining maybe D3-G3 or something and that's normal. And no, falsetto does not count =u=.

Go download PerfectPitch Musical Instrument Tuner and start singing. That will tell you which notes you are actually hitting.

and yes... there IS a falsetto for hitting lower notes. You know when you can't go lower, and you have to use that airy voice/ breathing like voice, which sounds like yawning? That's Falsetto.

BTW. Vocal Range =/= Vocal Type
sure, you can sing in the A2-C4 area, but that =/= a Contralto.
or lets say you can sing A4-C6 . that also =/= Soprano!
In order to be qualified as those vocal types. You have to SPEAK in those range given.
Lets say you're speaking voice (chest voice) is from A3-D4. then you a mezzo-soprano.
But lets say you're speaking voice is from G4-D5, then you are/might be a soprano.

Also. Deep voices =/= contralto or bass.
You can sound deep, but the note you're hitting might be a Tenor note/Mezzo note.

so people please... I hope you dun just skip my post... I hope this is more helpful for you.

Actually, I really can hit those notes. My talking voice is relatively low, unless I want to make it high. Which most of the time I do. Which is why people think my genderbent is a different person sometimes. And I'm not trying to be braggy, or anything, but I'm a contralto.

So, I'd say not A2 because that's falsetto for me. Probably B2-C2.

And thanks for giving us this information ouo

Megane and TBOE have been given a warning for disrupting the peace of the forums and for going off-topic on purpose.

If you have problems with the way someone speaks, I suggest you take it outside the forums or tell the forum helpers about it so we can edit it to be less offending to others. Directly confronting the person in the YTChorus environment will only lead to gossiping and rumors, and I'm sure none of you want that. =x

If you want to prove your point, please do so in a mature manner by presenting arguments in a less hostile way and BE NICE! There is a way to be truthful and straightforward without being disrespectful or having to resort to calling each other names! Doing such things will only be counter-productive and get your argument nowhere apart from oblivion.

Furthermore, being off-topic on purpose is a no no in my book. Te-he!

We have deleted your posts + edited Megane's and hope this does not happen again.

Have a good day and please remember to follow the forum regulations!

I do believe I'm a contralto, judging from the range mentioned in Wikipedia. "It typically ranges between the F below middle C (F3 in scientific pitch notation) to the second G above middle C (G5)"

Lowest: C3
Highest: G5

Maybe A5 on a good day and proper vocal warm-up.
On rare occasions like in VocaMania's Love is Meltdown, I can hit one of the highest notes in Meltdown.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlyWZIgPzYY at around 3:12

I can hit C3 pretty well without warming up too much, can't hit any lower not matter how hard I try. Fire Flower is one of the songs I can sing pretty well. owo
Imitation Black is the lowest I can sing: http://www.box.net/shared/1j4ilhqjrh

Not too sure about the speaking voice thing tho but I do tend to think that I speak pretty low.
There are some very few instances where people in calls have asked me whether I'm a guy or a girl. orz

Contralto...

In High School chorus, I was cool and sat with the guys in the Tenor section and got called horrid names because of this by said guys.

I hated High School chorus...

Bright side? My voice was the strongest and loudest out of them all.

Uhm.. from G1 to B4 is my range, however I have to sing F3 and above in Falsetto and that hurts and you can't hear F4 to B4, cause it's not loud enough XD
I'm singin at my school choir the only tenor and a friend of mine Bass, cause we're the only two guys in that 30 people choir xD
Always trying to convince my teacher that i want to sing in Soprano XDD
But I am always singing from C2-F3

Uhm, yeah i am a guy xD

I think I only have a range of about two octaves...it's a bit dissapointing because it means that I'm constantly going into falsetto when I sing some songs such as "Leia".

I can do c3 - e5 without falsetto. maybe the highest note i can reach perfectly is somewhere around d6 or higher with some sort of funny whistling. and that's such a waste because they sound scary lolol cuz i'm more comfortable with low voice both in talking or singing.

I've been singing with my lungs instead of diaphragm and have been recently working on switching (FFFUUU--- SO HARD JKLSDJFKDLS) but before my range was around C3 or D3 (depending on the day orz||) to E5-ish list time I checked .n. That doesn't count falsetto, but I don't even know if I have the ability to sing in falsetto so xD;;

My range would be contralto, right? From what I've read, I think that's what it is... oAo;; I tried my best not to exaggerate it so it should be fairly accurate OTL

Maybe after I start breathing right, my range will change a bit lol xD HOPEFULLY FOR THE BETTER OTLL|||

I think mine is alto.... I used to be in a school choir and being kicked to the alto team...

Somehow, it's hard to really determine my vocal range since I'm stucked with this spoilt brat voice. Even when I lower down the pitch in Audacity, my manly voice sounds like an annoying-mama-boy sound. sigh~
