Hello there, whoever may be reading this! My name is Lucy, but you can also call me Oktavia. Currently, I'm interested in starting an English chorus of sorts called "Symphony of the Stars". Unlike other, choruses, however, the chorus would focus solely on covering a song series in English, assigning people to play each character or Vocaloid in the series. The first series I would like to cover is the Seven Deadly Sins Series (Kind of. The core seven songs, along with Servant of Evil and Seven Crimes & Punishments). I am looking for seven people to cover this series with me as the following Vocaloids: Kagamine Rin & Len, MEIKO, Kamui Gakupo, Hatsune Miku, KAITO and GUMI. I will be singing as Megurine Luka.
Once again, this project is to be sung in English. I am planning to provide English translyrics for all of the songs, but if you are a translyricist, feel free to let me know (and link me to some of your work)!
Below, you will find information on what you can audition for and how to audition. I hope you consider auditioning for this project!
Audition Deadline: July 22nd, 2016 (subject to change, depending on auditions received).
- Roles:
- KAGAMINE RINVocal Range: G3 - G♯5Ideal Voice Type: High-pitched and bright. Has a sense of power in their singing voice, but does not necessarily need to belt.KAGAMINE LENVocal Range: G3 - G♯5Ideal Voice Type: Mid-pitched and boyish. Like Rin, has a sense of power in their singing voice, but does not necessarily need to belt.MEIKOVocal Range: A3 - F♯5
Ideal Vocal Type: Deeper, clear, and strong. Should be a belter.
MEGURINE LUKA
Songs: The Tailor Shop on Enbizaka, Madness of Duke Venomania, Seven Crimes & Punishments
Vocal Range: A3 - E5
Ideal Vocal Type: I will be playing this role! This is merely here to show all roles.
KAMUI GAKUPO
Songs: Madness of Duke Venomania, Seven Crimes & Punishments
Vocal Range: D♭3 - B♭4
Ideal Vocal Type: Powerful and rich, low-pitched voice. Must have a high belt.
HATSUNE MIKU
Songs: Madness of Duke Venomania, Gift From the Princess Who Brought Sleep, Seven Crimes & Punishments
Vocal Range: B♭3 - G♯5
Ideal Vocal Type: Sweet, and higher pitched. A soft voice. Belting is not necessary.
KAITO
Songs: Madness of Duke Venomania, Judgement of Corruption, Seven Crimes & Punishments
Vocal Range: F♯3 - C5
Ideal Vocal Type: A low-pitched voice capable of high notes.
GUMI
Songs: Madness of Duke Venomania, The Muzzle of Nemesis, Seven Crimes & Punishments
Vocal Range: C4 - E5
Ideal Vocal Type: Lower-pitched and calm. Belting is not necessary.
- Audition Info:
- Should I get enough interest in this project (meaning enough people audition), this project will run on a strict schedule. Nothing is set in stone yet, but most recording will be done in the last week of July and first week of August.
- Since I'm on the YTChorus forum, I don't really think I need to say this, but you should have a YouTube so I can credit you.
- All solos, duets and chorus numbers will be uploaded to a singular YouTube channel (not my own, but a channel I will create called "Symphony of the Stars".). Lines will be sent to me for mixing, and I will upload the video to the channel.
- Please have a clear microphone. In other words, your microphone shouldn't sound as if I were talking to you over the phone.
- Skype is highly recommended, but not essential.
- If you're going to audition, have confidence in your ability to harmonize, since we will be doing all harmonies. If you're cast, I will give you two options for learning harmonies: either a video guide in sheet music, or me singing your harmonies in an MP3 file.

(I don't usually impulse audition like this but well, w-why not?)
