Please elaborate, you don't know how to do it, or you don't understand how pitch shifting works..? xD

something like 'tuning for dummies' xD
specially about tuning lines

is it really necessary?
it is just for those little off-pitch notes we sing?
how to do it, if necessary?

(excuse my poor english, i hope i could make myself clear ; A ; )

Well, tuning is basically what you said, to get rid of the off-pitch notes we sing. Is it necessary? Absolutely not, I don't use it, I try to practice until I get it right. But it sure saves time because you don't have to re-record so many times (unless you've got alot of off-pitch notes, because then you'd spend alot of time fixing it instead)

Either way, personaly opinion is to not use it. If you want to use it though I actually don't know how since I don't use Audition :/
I'm not sure if it's possiible even to be honest from what I remember of Auditions interface, but I might be wrong!

I don't think you can tune using Audition, most people seem to use a program called Melodyne to tune!

There's an effect called 'automatic pitch...' something on Audition, actually. There's also manual mode below It (sorry i'm bad at explaining XD)
For the automatic one, it's much easier. You just need to find the note when you start singing the song. :3

I'm not very good at the actual tuning by ear part, but I can kind of explain it? You need to go to Edit Track instead of Multitrack. Highlight the part you want to tune. Click on Pitch Correction (Process); make sure you don't have the music paused or anything. should be "stopped." You can use Automatic or Manual like Hatsuyuki said. Auto picks the scale, etc, that you'll be tuning to. Manual mode is more accurate because if you're way off, you can fix it to the correct note while Auto will just pick the note it thinks you're singing.

http://gyazo.com/d72bfd0a93c52330bcb1767d2ca61dda <- manual mode.
In manual mode, you click on the parts that you want to tune. It should set up little white boxes that you can then drag around. (http://gyazo.com/0304ec877108884ad6cd05bf29a112d7) Moving the box up = making the note sharper, moving the box down = making the note flatter (http://gyazo.com/eadb10dc90efb17686379a78385dea5c). Red lines = the original pitches. Green = how much they've changed. You can look at the notes on the left to see if you were able to pitch to the correct note.

If you have a lot of wavering in a particular note, you might have to narrow down to that part specifically and fix it. Just be careful that it can take a few minutes to compress, expand, etc etc. each time you finish tuning a particular part.
