Adding a whisper effect?

I was wondering how to add a 'whisper/airy' effect to my voice like Circus-P does in his song here. I heard that he may have used auto tune to add the effect, but I have never used auto tune and have no idea how to look that specific effect up (typing in 'auto tune whisper effect' did not work...XD). I always use Audacity for mixing but I am willing to use auto tune in some instances, such as this one. If anyone has any ideas as to how to get such an effect, please let me know.

I don't really think it works with autotune xD
I know that you can make a kinda whispery effect by putting the heighs and a certain part of the middles up with an Equalizer.
You could also simply whisper the text again and put it under the singing xD

I heard someone with the effect I was after and they said they used auto tune somehow...probably too difficult anyway.XD

I will have to look into the equalizer method.

I admit, I never thought about doing that but I guess it could maybe work. I will have to experiment with it. Hyper

I think the autotune is just for the electric-y effect under his whisper singing~
But yeah, I think the easiest way is just to whisper the singing . For the equalizer part it adds on to the whisper so that it sounds like a radio voice  ^ ^

Okay. I was hoping there was some effect since whispering a whole song does not sound fun.XD Thanks~

If you're using Audacity, under the effects tab, there will be an effect called "Reverb." Reverb is used to manipulate your voice with echos and amplification in order to sound like you're somewhere else. I recommend messing around with it until you find the right settings for a whisper

I have messed around with reverb but never to try to get a whisper effect. Most of the time it just makes the voice sound more tin-ie/metalic. I will do some trial and error with it. Thanks for the suggestion~

I'll be honest, the man's voice has a myriad of effects. I'd recommend playing around with the Radio, Telephone, or Walkie Talkie effects in Equalization on Audacity to get something remotely close to the whispery effect. However, to get the full effect, you will have to sing with that intense whisper style like in the original.

Yeah, there are probably a lot of effects in play. I was praying for something relatively simple, but it seems as if that is not the case. I will probably try jus whispering a little and see where that gets me. Thanks~
