Need Help Finding lyrics and Tips for animating/mixing pls.
Hello Guys I've been meaning to cover this song since I heard it in the anime Aldnoah.
"Heavenly Blue" by Kalafina
But the lyrics i'm trying to find are at 0:06~0:12 | 2:58~3:51 [ video located at bottom ]
Also I want to learning how to mix better, i'm using audacity right now to mix (i'm sure most people would say its not that GREAT but it works) so i'm curious what program you guy use to mix that is somewhat easy to learn.
In addition I would love to learn how to start animating my own videos, you know just some easy tricks i can use to make my video look a little bit more flashy than just a non-moving photo and maybe start up my attempts at VA. I'm completely new to video editing minus the fact that i have used windows movie maker a few times for school project, so what programs do you guys think is easy to get the hang of when it comes to video editing?
(Please let me know what programs you guys use for Mixing or Animating and what are some simple tips you can do to make the mixes better or to make your video more interesting)

Re: Need Help Finding lyrics and Tips for animating/mixing pls.
Hmm....those parts sounded like a make up language, so it might not have an actual lyric to it. (Don't take my word on it though, hopefully someone else can find it!)
For mixing, I think audacity is decent. I use it for timing, and then use cubase for effects. Some of the more popular ones are Mixcraft and FLStudio.
Here's a pretty long doc made by the commu on mixing tips:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1f67V23Q5rrJV6IadG8CAYqnhpB_l7TkGU5cW92eWPgk/edit#heading=h.tg20eodvbf35
But in general, as a rule of thumb I'd say a mix would sound decent with good timing, some compression, EQ, and reverb. Include mastering if program permits!
For animation, I'd say try Sony Vegas as a starter, you can see if Shinano's tutorial could help you:

After becoming more advance, try out after effects =)

Re: Need Help Finding lyrics and Tips for animating/mixing pls.
Kalafina? That's Yuki Kajiura's works. That group, FICTIONJunction, and it's members are known for singing the Kajiuran language.
I actually did a Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle song and it's also by Yuki Kajiura (Kaze no Machi He), and you just have to listen by ear carefully and write down how you would spell it out to pronounce it the way you do it. It takes quite a bit rewinding...but turns out nice when you separate between the melody and harmonies. Fortunately, the blurb I had to do was only several seconds ^^;;
It'd take some time...but if you /really/ want to cover this song...I can attempt to write the "yukaji" (just made that up lol) lyrics and provide separate tracks for the melody and harmony.
The speed, multiple parts, and the length of the song will make this take a little longer...but if you don't mind waiting...I'll do it!

Re: Need Help Finding lyrics and Tips for animating/mixing pls.
I'm using audacity since 2010. And it's pretty decent for mixing. I always use that for stuffs. Choruses, collabs, trio, duet, solo, RAP, etc. I can help you if needed. 8D We can talk privately in skype, or LINE! (yeah, more active on LINE and FB...)
You can use Sony Vegas for the animating, this one is from Kenta: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxzaJAlK8NQ
Hope it helps!

Re: Need Help Finding lyrics and Tips for animating/mixing pls.
Will edit this post as I go...but I don't want to forget! So here is the first part. Each dash is just to show how the words are broken down, and which are held. Let me know if you prefer to see them together.
Also, since this is by ear, it may not be entirely accurate, however, it's as close as I can get. Spelling/formatting may be subjected to change. For example--I'm pondering whether one of the three sang dou--ka or ooh-oh-ka. Very easy to lose in all the vocals/power they use.
On another note, isolated vocals will come soon. If you get enough to mix...I will tell your mixer where to place the harmonies, overlaps, and adlibs (or if they do it on their own--I can do a time check)

Working on the harmonies/extra ad libs. for that section. It's not found in the original version so it's going to be a bit harder to pull from the live (I'm using both the live and the original). The lower parts take longer to separate from the vocals...as it's easier to detect higher voices. But I won't give up!! Upper, lower, and ad libs will be detected. Just bear with my slowness for now xD
