Harmony Guides

Post by Riyumi on Wed Aug 21, 2013 7:20 pm

Does anyone know where I can find harmony guides? A general database would be nice. If not...then do you know where I can find the harmony guides for Omoide Kakera & Sakura Zenshin Ijou Neshi? If members show interest in the recruit post I made, I want to have these resources available. Either that or I have to do it by ear and give a guide myself orz

Thanks!~

I don't know of any o A o Sometimes the producer will put up a karaoke file that includes the harmonies, which makes it easier to follow along and learn the harmonies, but outside of that I think you mostly need to do it by ear >__<

Maybe some of us could work on a database? It'd actually be really useful.

Sometimes, making a homemade karaoke out of the song (especially a cover) allows you to get a reference of harmonies since they are more audible that way.

There's also a YouTube account for harmony references but there are really few on it:

oooh I see. Thanks anyways. I'll do my best~ and It would be actually. Guess we can head on over to the suggestion box(?) and we can see how many people would like to cooperate ;3

@Takumi  I haven't thought about that before. Thanks for the input & link >u< ~  It'll have to be another thing I have to add to the 'to learn' list though lol. Any harmony reference is useful--even if it starts with a little! So it's much appreciated. If I just stuck with piano a little longer...perhaps it'd be easier to come up with my own, but oh well. I have to make do with what I can and have!

That wouldn't be a bad idea. Compile a list of different harmonies for songs. =) Could be a community dump where everyone contributes their own harmonies / people who need help can look there. Or even link to karaokes that have the harmonies attached.

As for guides, I pretty much do what Takumi does or make up my own. ^^' I did find this for Omoide Kakera though:

Duet-ready version of the song. Has links to the raw and harmony. I didn't download them myself, but maybe you can get an idea from them?

@Aerlith Hm..it'll take some time to set up but an idea is always a good place to start ^^ Perhaps it'd fit in the 'share work' section and whoever feels like it may add to it and the person who started the thread (preferably someone active or is most likely not going to disappear without a trace) can keep editing the thread so the front page is a "Master List". That way members can avoid digging through pages before finding the song they'd like.

It's either that or a google doc that anyone can edit (categorizing by ABC's or navigating might be difficult though).

and cool! Making up your own is always fun~ the only tough part is making sure it works :/

ooh! thank you very much~ It'd definitely be a start >v< and wow. she has a pretty voice *^*
